Uplands Whey Fed Pork - Half Pig Deposit
Our whey fed pigs are raised on pasture and fed whey from Uplands Cheese and apple pressings from the Cider Farm.
When you select this option you will be added to our order list. Just before the hogs are processed (around November) you will be notified that it's almost time to receive your pork. At this time you will custom choose which cuts you would like from our processor. They will walk you through the cutting options.
The final cost of the meat will depend on the size of the animal. The cost is $4.25/ lb of hanging weight (weight after skin and organs are removed) usually around $425-$500. Also keep in mind that the processor will charge a fee for processing the animal that is separate from our cost (usually around $100). You can pay the final amount using cash, check or credit card at time of delivery.
